God and the OT

So me digging back into my past issues with God brought me to the subject of the OT. Wow, is it just me or does God have anger management problems? Maybe he just likes to kill? I did a search for “good” things that God did without killing or harming someone in the process. That is a fairly difficult thing to find. Doesn’t it disturb you that God kills so many people? For whatever reason, the fact of the matter is that he kills people. All the while, one of his own commandments is to not murder. Hmm, thats odd? How can an omnipotent God kill so many people? It disturbs me, it really does. Who wants to worship a God that is so willing to kill you?

  1. Life and death are always in God’s hands. Seeing as He is the omnipotent, eternal Creator, there’s just not much you can do about that. You’ll live or die according to God’s will.

Being “killed” is not the worst thing that can happen to you. In fact, moving from this world to the next world can be the very best thing that you can experience. I wouldn’t worry so much about the people God’s “killing people” and worry instead about whether I have a good relationship with Him or not.
